Scramble & Post-Match Service
If you sign up with FMG America's Scramble Service now, you can take advantage of our
current discount rate which will increase after March of this year. Or take this opportunity at any
time by signing up for our full 2008 Residency Package.
For those ERAS applicants that do not match, they will have to engage in the dreaded post-match
scramble. On average, each unmatched residency applicant needs to both fax and email over 750
hospital programs in the hopes of obtaining an unfilled position. Those applicants that are first to
contact an unfilled program always get top preference. You both need to locate and input
thousands of numbers and addresses all in a matter of hours.
With FMG America's Scramble Service, we both review and send out all of your crucial
documentation by both fax & e-mail to all open positions in the afternoon, that day the scramble
opens up to the public. We also prepare you for the Post-Match interview process. As well, in
hopes of pre-matching, our Scramble Service includes the creation of a personalized website
(see a sample of our FAST System website at www.fmgamerica.com/scramble_template2)
with all of your documentation and statistics available to the programs for download and the
e-mailing of a cover letter with all of your documentation to the programs within two weeks of the
Match* (this pre-match option is only if you are not yet signed up with the NRMP for this year's Match). Only
those clients who sign up with us early enough will be eligible for our pre-match services.
Our technical engineers have developed an unparalleled system, FAST (FMG Advanced
Scramble Technology), to insure that your application falls on the top of the residency director's
pile. Our Scramble Service typically works with two specialties per client among; Internal
Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Ob&Gyn, Surgery, Pathology, Anesthesiology, & Psychiatry
residency programs.
You will receive a 50% refund if you Match through the NRMP before the Scramble begins. If
you do not obtain a position in the Post-Match, FMG America can apply your Scramble Service
fee to securing you a U.S. hands-on clinical externship for success in next year's Match.
